How do I make an appointment to see Dr Bade?

Please contact Dr Bade’s private rooms on (07) 3236 9959

What should I bring to my appointment?

Please bring a copy of your referral as well as any relevant scans or x-rays. It’s also useful to have your Medicare and Private Insurance details.

Do I need a referral?

A referral is required in order to receive a Medicare rebate for a portion of the consultation fee.

Will my private health insurance cover the cost of the consultation?

Private health insurance does not cover outpatient consultations or minor procedures performed in Dr Bade’s private rooms. However there is usually a Medicare rebate available to cover some of the cost of these services.

Will my private health insurance cover the cost of the operation?

Private health insurance funds and policies vary widely. Depending on the operation to be performed and the specific details of your private health insurance policy, your private health fund may cover nothing, some, or all of the costs associated with the operation. You will be provided with a written quotation after your consultation. However it is important for you to check with your health fund prior to surgery to ensure you are covered for the procedure.

The specialist anaesthetist involved in your operation will also provide a separate quote.

If you require pathology or radiology tests as part of your management then you may receive a separate invoice from these specialists.
